You won't want to miss the fresh salmon at breakfast—absolutely divine! Plus, the location is unbeatable, just a short stroll to soak in San Marino’s charming streets. The rooms boast clean and stylish decor, and the view from the balcony will leave you breathless!

While the room was comfy, it felt a bit basic—gray and lacking that homely touch. We could've used a kettle, and the reception staff seemed pleasant but weren't as helpful as we hoped, missing opportunities to share tips like the San Marino card.

poor service

i was looking forward to a luxurious stay but ended up disgusted. the parking situation was horrendous, and after dragging my bags uphill only to find only italian channels on the tv, i nearly lost it. oh, and a superior room should defintely come with an espresso maker, not subpar instant coffee! i almost gave a good review, but how could i?

We adored the cozy atmosphere, particularly enjoying our room with stunning views that reached as far as San Leo. The location was perfect, a quick walk to the Palazzo Pubblico and many lovely shops. The Michelotti family is friendly and always ready to give local tips!

My wife says that breakfast could have more gluten-free options.

The location is fantastic, with easy access to the historic sites just a short walk away. We loved the superb breakfast, particularly the variety of fresh pastries and delightful coffee that set us up for the day. La Grotta is an extremely comfortable and welcoming hotel nestled in the heart of the Unesco Heritage Old Town. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore everything San Marino offers. Our superior room on the top floor had a breathtaking view over the countryside, and the breakfast was ample and delicious, providing a wonderful start to the day.
